1. Gear Swap Meet & Bike Demo

Let Riderz help sell your lightly used riding gear, test ride the latest models from Giant and Rocky Mountain, enjoy a complimentary BBQ as you mingle with fellow riders and find new treasures to enhance your cycling adventures.

2. Tree Planting & Care Workshop

Attention nature lovers and green thumbs! Discover the secrets of proper tree care with Yellowhead County during their Tree Planting & Care Workshop on April 9 in Peers.


During this hands-on session presented by renowned tree expert and ISA Certified Arborist Toso Bozic, you will learn invaluable techniques for nurturing your trees to thrive. Topics covered will include: proper planting procedures, site selection and preparation, pruning techniques for optimal growth and much more!


Registration is required for this event and spots are limited, so be sure to sign up before April 5 to secure your spot!

3. HRH Dessert Theatre

Indulge in drama and dessert at Holy Redeemer High School's annual Dessert Theatre on April 12 and 13!


Experience the magic of live theatre with three captivating plays performed by HRH’s talented young actors and actresses.

The first high school play, titled The Door, tells the story of a grandmother who refuses to answer the insistent knocking on her front door. She has shut out everything except the one person still capable of reaching her, her teenage grandson, Justin.


The second high school play is a comedy entitled Oprah Made Me Do It, in which two women at a bookstore compete for the last copy of Oprah Winfrey’s latest bestseller while the cashier desperately tries to please both women.


Lastly, the junior high production, entitled That’s Not How I Remember It, follows the story of two parents as they tell their child how they first met, however, their stories just don’t seem to quite match up.  


And that’s not all! During intermission, treat your sweet tooth with a delectable selection of desserts, all for the unbeatable price of $2.

4. KIDS - Princess Superhero Party


Calling all princes, princesses and superheros! Get ready for your child embark on a magical adventure at the Day Care Society of Edson’s Princess Superhero Party on April 13 at the Galloway Station Museum.


Dress to impress in their favourite princess gown or superhero costume so they can participate in a number of exciting activities, from sword and wand crafting to tiara making, a princess beauty station and more!

5. Volunteer Fair

The Town of Edson will be hosting a Volunteer Fair on April 14 in which local non-profits will be in attendance to let you know what volunteering opportunities are available within their organization.

6. Birch Tree Syrup Workshop

Join Yellowhead County Agricultural Services in Brule on April 14 for an enlightening afternoon of birch tree tapping led by instructor Terra Verch. Discover the fascinating process of collecting sap and transforming it into delectable syrup right in your own home!


Here’s what you can expect from this exciting event:


Birch Tree Tapping: Venture outdoors and learn hands-on how to tap a birch tree using the proper equipment. Each participant will receive their own spile kit to take home.


Syrup Making Demo: Participants will head indoors to witness the boiling process that turns raw sap into golden syrup. Learn the secrets to achieving the perfect consistency and flavor.


Syrup Sampling and Recipe Sharing: If enough syrup is available, participants will have the opportunity to taste the sweet rewards of their labor. Plus, Terra will share a delicious birch syrup cookie recipe for you to try at home!


Syrup History Lesson: Delve into the intriguing history of birch syrup collection during WWI when sugar was scarce due to rationing. Terra will share stories of how this tradition sustained communities during challenging times.

7. Spring Fling Rodeo

Get ready for heart-pounding excitement and adrenaline-pumping action at Element Zone 13’s Spring Fling Rodeo on April 20!


Watch as fearless cowboys partake in Ranch Bronc Riding, witness the fierce competition during Ladies Cow Riding, hold your breath as fearless participants square off against massive bulls during Bull Poker and prepare to be amazed as daring riders enter the Ring of Fear to face off against ferocious bulls.


Get in on the action and bid on your favourite riders in the Calcutta auction, where the stakes are high and the excitement never ends.


Also on site will be an assortment of food trucks to satisfy your hunger, along with beer gardens to quench your thirst.

8. Women's Wellness Workshop

Calling all ladies! Join like-minded women at the Best Western High Road Inn on April 20 for a day dedicated to self-care and empowerment. This in-person gathering, brought to you by a number of local Edson businesses, focuses on various aspects of women’s health and features a variety of sessions and workshops led by local health and wellness experts.


During the event, you’ll engage in a range of experiences, including:


-          Exploring stress and trauma, understanding their bodily manifestations, and learning effective

            management techniques.

-          Delving into topics like strength, protein, and wellness beyond 40 years of age

-          Two introductory movement sessions aimed at fostering well-being

-          Understanding lymphatic stimulation and the significance of fascia

-          Learning about gut health and its intricate relationship with hormones

9. Prairie Dawgs Comedy Show

Bobby Warrener debuted in comedy at the young age of 19. His laid-back style and witty jokes have captivated audiences nationwide. With appearances at JFLNW, Sled Island, and Yuk Yuk’s clubs coast to coast, Bobby's self-deprecating yet relatable humor keeps audiences laughing. Expect the unexpected with his hilarious punchlines.


Sean McDonnell, a Vancouver native, is making waves in the Canadian comedy scene with his lively storytelling and quirky insights. McDonnell signed with 604 Records at just 22, with his debut comedy album, "All in My Head," soaring to the top spot on iTunes.


Darcy Boon Collins is a Vancouver-based comedian known for his boisterous and playful style. Darcy has showcased his comedy on CBC's "Laugh Out Loud" and "Just For Laughs North West." Gregarious and approachable, Darcy thrives on any stage, captivating audiences of all kinds. His endearing catchphrase, "please, for the love of god, laugh with me," has a universal appeal that can win over both your grandparents and enemies alike.

10. Seven Mile Story

From the iconic words "In the beginning" to the powerful declaration "It is finished", discover how the stories, characters and themes of the Bible interconnect to form a narrative that transcends time and resonates with listeners of all ages. Ross will bring the pages of the Bible to life with his passion for storytelling and deep understanding of the text.


Whether you’re well-versed in the Bible or are approaching it with fresh eyes, this event is open to everyone, regardless of beliefs.

11. KIDS - April 26 PD Day

Make the most of your child’s non-school Friday and register them for a fun-filled day of activities brought to you by Edson Dance Academy, Edson Tumblers Gymnastics Club, Galloway Station Museum, and the Town of Edson!


At the Galloway Station Museum, children will have the opportunity to dig for treasures in a mock artifact excavation and will have the opportunity to play a boardgame that was created nearly 4000 years ago.
