  1. Snowshoeing is a good way to get out to enjoy the outdoors in the winter time. There are many places in Edson and Yellowhead County to try! If you want to stay close to Edson, Wilmore Park is a great location, with many trails that offer a beautiful scenic walk.








  1. Want to try snowshoeing, but don't have your own snowshoes? Free rentals are available at the Edson Public Library during regular hours, and can be checked out with your library card or reserved in advance from the Griffiths Park Centre from Thursdays to Wednesdays. Check

  1. Looking for something fun to do after school? For the month of January, Edson Youth Interagency will be hosting free 'Youth Hub Hangouts' every Thursday at the Edson Public Library from 3:30 - 5pm. Drop in for a craft, games, and other activities.

  1. Join a free Winter Walking Group that is meeting at the Edson Golf Club every Wednesday in January. After the walk there will be a social hour with warm beverages, board games, crafts, and more!










  1. Karen Shilka is doing a watercolor paint workshop at That Crafty Lady at the Creative Crossroads on Monday January 19, 2025 at 6pm.   1. Celebrate Burns Night with the Edson Lodge No. 68, a night that is sure to be filled with fun, music, and laughter! Cocktails start at 5pm, with a line-up of entertainment to follow. It is definitely an evening you will not want to miss! Tickets are $60.00 and available to purchase in person at Galloway Station Museum, Travel Centre & Archives and Patterson's Part Supply.














  1. Looking for something exciting for the kids to do for PD Day on January 30th? The Winter Wanderers Camp will keep the kids busy from 8:30am - 4pm. Pack a lunch, dress warm, and get ready to play, learn, and connect with other kids! This camp is for kids in Grades 1-6. Edson Youth Interagency is also hosting a PD Day camp for kids aged 11-17, where they can learn to curl and cook all in the same day at the Peers Multiplex on Friday, January 30th, from 12 - 4pm. Learn how to curl from a volunteer from the Edson Curling Club, then cook up a snack with the Youth Interagency Edson!
