1. Used Book Sale

If you're a book lover, don't miss the Used Book Sale at the Edson & District Public Library from April 1-3! Browse through a variety of pre-loved books and grab some great reads at a bargain price. Plus, there’s a great selection of DVDs and Blu-rays available, so you can pick up some new movies to enjoy as well. Every purchase helps support the library’s operations and programs, so it’s a win-win!

2. Family Board Game Day

Looking for a fun, interactive way to spend time with your loved ones? Head over to the Edson & District Public Library on April 3 for Family Board Game Day! Enjoy a variety of board games with the whole family from 10-2 pm. Afterward, from 2:30 to 4 pm, drop off your tweens and teens for a fun, game-filled afternoon just for them! Want to continue to fun? Some games are also available to borrow from the Library with a membership (which is also free!).

3. Wildfire Preparedness & Prevention Planning

The session will also feature a case study from Rock Lake Earth Lodge, sharing lessons learned from hosting evacuees during the Jasper wildfire.

4. Easter Bounce

Get ready for some Easter fun at the Yellowhead Koinonia Christian School on April 5 with Melissa’s Bouncy Castle Fun! In addition to bouncing around in the castles, kids can enjoy a fun scavenger hunt, egg hunt with prizes, a photobooth, colouring, and even a surprise visitor! Tickets are just $10 per child (ages 2-12), with $2 from each sale benefiting EARS.

5. Princess Superhero Party

Calling all princesses and superheroes – come dance and play the afternoon away at the Daycare Society of Edson’s 2nd annual Princess Superhero Party on April 5! Enjoy an exciting afternoon of dancing, crafts, snacks, and endless fun at the Edson Legion. Kids are encouraged to come dressed as their favorite characters, and adults can join in on the fun for free!

At the Galloway, kids will have the opportunity to participate in an Easter-themed Historic 'Egg-Stravaganza' Scavenger Hunt, where they will uncover hidden clues while learning about local history in a fun and engaging way. It’s the perfect opportunity for children to make the most of their day off from school!

9. Spring Dance

10. High Tea & Regency

Step into a world of elegance at the Rotary Club of Edson's High Tea and Regency event at the Galloway Station Museum on April 13. Enjoy a traditional high tea while immersing yourself in the charm of the Regency era. Dress in your finest attire and savor a selection of exquisite teas, scones, and delightful treats.


This is a themed costume event, so channel your inner Jane Austen or Bridgerton character and dress to impress—whether it’s breeches, gowns, or your best Regency-era finery! It promises to be the event of the season, complete with the Duke and Duchess of Edson, the crowning of the Diamond of Edson, prizes, raffles, games, and Regency-era demonstrations.

12. An Evening of Entertainment: Trivia, Comedy & Hypnosis

Join the Grad Parents of Parkland Composite High School for an unforgettable evening of trivia, comedy, and hypnosis on April 26 at the Edson Friendship Centre Bingo Hall! Featuring the talented comedian and hypnotist Gavin Hooper, the night promises plenty of laughs, surprises, and interactive fun. The evening will also include a delicious dinner and exciting trivia rounds.
