Matthews United Church Heritage Open House For a taste of local history, head to the open house at Matthews United Church on October 6, hosted by Yellowhead County and the Peers Historical Society. This event honors the dedicated volunteers who played a vital role in restoring this cherished landmark. Originally built in 1927, the church has served as a central gathering place for the Peers community and earned its Municipal Historic Resource Status in 2017.
